Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Candle Trials (the "App") collects, why, and how you can control it. We designed the App to need as little personal data as possible: no email address, no phone number, no contacts, no location, no advertising identifiers.
1. What we collect
- Account data (optional). If you create an account you choose a username and password. We store the username, a salted hash of the password, and the account creation time. We do not ask for an email address.
- Game progress. When you are signed in, the App syncs your training progress to our servers so it follows you across devices: cleared trials, star ratings, badges, daily and weekly contest results, session summaries (for example return, drawdown and trade count) and streaks. Without an account this data stays only on your device.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Our payments partner RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt and tells the App whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment card.
- Aggregate usage. We count events such as app opens, trials started and completed, paywall views and purchase outcomes, grouped only by date, platform and language. These counts are not linked to you.
- Crash and performance data. If enabled in a future build, crash reports contain device model, OS version and the state of the App at the time of the crash, so we can fix bugs. They do not contain your trades.
2. What we do not collect
Email address, phone number, physical address, contacts, precise or coarse location, health data, payment card or bank details, browsing history, photos, audio, or the advertising identifier. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
3. How we use data
To run the App (sync your progress, show your contest rank, honour your subscription), to keep the service safe, and to understand in aggregate which features are used. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Where data is stored
Account and progress data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. Purchase status is processed by RevenueCat and Apple. Historical market data shown in the App is bundled with the App and is not personal data.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers above (Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare) as needed to run the App, or when required by law. Contest rankings show your chosen username and your result to other players.
6. Retention and deletion
Progress is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time inside the App (Me → Delete account) or by following these steps; this permanently removes your account, progress and contest results from our servers. Aggregate counts are not linked to you and are kept for product analysis.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data. Email us at support@guangzhoubailun.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
